Trova tutti i file con la regola che preferite, con l'opzione exec (che termina con "\;") viene eseguito un comando per tutte le occorrenze trovate. Le due parentesi graffe vengono ovviamente sostituite dal nome del file trovato.

Dare le autorizzazioni all'utente:

Per configurare il NAT in modo da connettersi ad esempio in ssh a un server locale in esecuzione su vBox:


VBoxManage modifyvm "VM name" --natpf1 "guestssh,tcp,,2222,,22"

Questo imposterà sulla macchina locale di fare NAT delle connessioni sulla porta locale 2222 alla porta 22 del vostro server virtuale. Così per connettervi in ssh al vostro server virtuale vi sarà sufficiente il comando:


ssh exipert@localhost -p 2222

Sembra facile ma non tanto dopo che hanno esploso il caro vecchio "httpd.comf".
Partiamo col far puntare il dominio alla macchina che ci interessa (ameno che non sia già corretto il puntamento offerto dal DNS), se ad esempio dovete fare dei test in locale


sudo vi /etc/hosts

e aggiugete la riga


127.0.0.1    tuo.dominio.com

Poi aggiungere la configurazione del dominio virtuale all'Apache


cd /etc/apache2/sites-available
sudo vi tuo.dominio.com.conf

e inserite la descrizione del VirtualHost, ad esempio:

In fine riavviate apache


sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 reload

Java plugin switch in linux

Installate un plugin java diverso da quello di default non è sufficiente a cambiare il puntamento di /usr/bin/java. In genere ci si scorna con questo problema quando si devono usare applet-java che funzionano su plugin Sun ma non su OpenJDK.

Per passare da un plugin all'altro dovete:

Aprire il terminale
Eseguite sudo update-java-alternatives -l per visualizzare i plugin disponibili
Eseguite sudo update-java-alternatives -s XXXX dove XXX è la java version che volete come default. Per la Sun Java 6 il comando sarà una cosa tipo sudo update-java-alternatives -s ....java-6-sun
Per una verifica potete eseguire java -version

Quando qualcosa d'altro non funzionerà sapete già come fare rollback ^_^

sudo netstat -tap | grep cvs

create un gruppo per la gestione dei permessi su CVS:
sudo groupadd cvs

e cambiare i permessi dei files del repository:
sudo chgrp -R cvs /var/lib/cvs
sudo chmod -R 770 /var/lib/cvs

a questo punto non resta che assegnare gli utenti interessati al gruppo cvs.
adduser NOME_UTENTE NOME_GRUPPO

VirtualBox run Windows partition

Per far partire partire su VirtualBox la partizione locale di winzozz ho trovato i riferimenti qui http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?t=9697

Ma non basta di default VirtualBox non recupera i parametri del BIOS della macchina ma ne imposta di suoi. Questo fa si che windows non riconosta la registrazione del prodotto.
Per ovviare a questo bisogna impostare a mano nel file di configuarazione "~/.VirtualBox/VirtualBox.xml" i "BIOS DMI information" (elencati qui http://www.virtualbox.org/manual/UserManual.html#changedmi).

Attivare flash su Chrome per Linux

Dopo tante fatiche ho trovato il modo!!!

Allora:

passare all'utenza di root

su

creare sotto la cartella di chrome la cartella plugins

sudo mkdir /opt/google/chrome/plugins/

sotto questa

cd /opt/google/chrome/plugins/

creare un link al plugin flash (tipicamente)

sudo ln -s /usr/lib/flashplugin-installer/libflashplayer.so

A questo punto bisogna aggiungere al comando di avvio --enable-plugins, questo è da fare editando l'sh o cambiando le proprietà dell'icona di lancio.

/opt/google/chrome/google-chrome --enable-plugins %U

Il futuro si avvicina. Chrome OS è il primo sistema operativo in rete che usa l'hardware solo come cache e per eseguire le operazioni. Tutto il resto è nella rete.
Il prossimo passo? Risorse hardware shared e device dovranno solo preoccuparsi della renderizzazione (come un odierno browser).

Finalmente c'è una versione di Chrome anche per Linux ... FINALMENTE C@%%0 !!!!
Allora: trovate tutto sul sito di sviluppo di Chrome, cioè Chromium, alla pagina "Early Access Release Channels" nella sezione Linux ci sono i link per scaricare i ".deb".

Io sto usando Dev channel (for 32-bit systems) ma c'è anche per i sistemi a 64-bit.

È una beta in fare di sviluppo ma la velocità di questo browser è talmente inarrivabile per gli altri che giustificherebbe l'uso anche di una alpha.

L'idea è semplice: perché non sviluppare per il web nel web?
Ora, con il supporto delle nuove codifiche per il web come HTML5 e la velocità di esecuzione del codice JavaScript dei nuovi browser (IE escluso ovviamente), è possibile.
Dai Mozzilla Labs è nato Bespin, un editor eseguito interamente dal browser e che permetto anche lo sviluppo collaborativo con lo share immediato con altre persone del codice.

Come sempre in Ubuntu le installazioni sono una fesseria, Synaptic e via, installatevi server, client (che viene dietro al server) e amministrazione (che è a parte).
Per avviare MySQL e creare un DB: /etc/rc.d/init.d/mysqld start

Ho scoperto un programmino simpatico che ridimensiona massivamente immagini (per linux).
si chiama "imagemagick" e si lancia da shell con un comando tipo "mogrify -resize 640 *.jpg".
E' installabile anche da Synaptic.

Comunque Chrom ufficiale non esiste ancora per linux ... MA ... esiste Chromium progetto base opensource di Chrom installabile su linux.
